Spring Open Day

So, first thing to note will be the DAY CHANGE. For a while now, people have been asking for us to move the open day from the Sunday to the Saturday. Is it because of the impending difficult Monday morning that inevitably followed? Or the difficult public transport? Well, what ever your reasons, we have listed.

The next open day will be SATURDAY 2nd March

Not only have we changed the day, we have extending closing time into the evening. So now you can enjoy the beers, the surroundings, the music and the company until 11pm.

The day will be the usual family (and dog) friendly affair, with that unmistakable Weird Beard style noise, games, bottle shop, and a great selection of beers to sample.

From around 7pm, the mood will change, the lights will dim, and the music will step up in both volume and feel. We will have our very own Emily at the DJ position, spinning some very Weird Beard tunes, while you continue to sip away at a great selection of fine beer.

On the main bar in Unit 5, you can expect to find all of this years new releases on draft, plus a few specials and favourites. Full beer line up to be announced, but expect the following.

Saltatious Plum - 5.2% Plum & Blackberry Goose, Colab with J Wakefield

Two Minutes to Flame Out - 6.5% DDH sour IPA.

Impy Hating Hippie - 9% Rose, Cardamom, Cinnamon Imperial stout

Bat Oat of Hell - 4% DDH Oatmeal Pale Ale

Unit 9, just a few doors down, will play host to our bottle shop. Here you can find a HUGE selection of bottles beers you can take away to enjoy or gift as presents. We do remind you that these bottles are for take away only. If you wish to drink beers on the day, and help us continue these events, we ask you to only drink beer purchased from the main Unit 5 bar on site (this includes outside).

There will also be a selection of merchandise available at Unit 9, including our brand new A2 sized posters.

We will have the normal selection of food and snacks to help prepare your stomach for the next tasty beverage. Between 12 and 5 you can buy hot food from the local scouts, who will be selling a great selection of food to raise money for much needed repairs to their hut. Beyond this, and for the full day, snacks can be brought from the main bar.

But don’t feel that you have to drink, or can only come along with drinkers. We will be offering soft drinks from the amazing London Based Square Root Soda.

We are all really looking forward to sharing a new year, new format and new beer kinda day with you. So see you on Saturday 2nd March.
